We all make mistakes sometimes and need those pesky tattoos that we get for a significant other covered up. That is exactly what I had to do for a coworker today.

I got to do this the other day. Its not to often people come in wanting a traditional style in black and gray, but I feel it always turns out looking pretty awesome. I was disappointed that after looking at the pictures that the guillotine does not look straight. I promise you that it is. We took the picture right after doing the tattoo. The swelling and curvature of the body right there make appear not to be straight.

Normally I am not the biggest fan of the press. This includes tattoo magazines. However the current issue of Skin and Ink did a great article on High Street Tattoo and they decided to use a few of my tattoos. I have to admit I am a bit excited to have published work. With the vast amount of talent at High Street I am even more proud that they were able to squeeze me in there. Everyone should go and get their hands on the new issue to check out the article. And to check out everyone else's work, go to highstreettattoo.com.

Things are slowing down a bit heading into the winter. Still a lot going on, however if you are looking to get in with me it will be a bit easier.
There are a few things that I am excited to be sharing in the next few weeks.
1. I have started to learn to water color, and been having a lot of fun with it. Hopefully I will have a piece done shortly that I am proud of enough to share.
2. There a few tattoos that I have both to finish and about to start that I should be able to post a few pics of.
3. Last week was my very good friend Tony "Touch" wedding in which I was the best man. It was the first wedding that I was in and one of the most unique and fun ones that I have been to. Tonys friend Sean Hamilton, who is an amazing photographer, shot the wedding so there should be some really cool shots for everyone to enjoy.
Big things coming up, so keep an eye out.

In the past year I have become somewhat disenchanted with doing portraits. Between lacking an element of creativity and having to deal with horrible reference it has become not as fulfilling as it was once was. However I do still enjoy doing them and appreciate creating something so realistic on the skin. This portrait that I did the other week on a coworker was one that I had a lot of fun with. I also have to say that it is probably one of the coolest portraits I have ever done of someones kid. Here in Columbus there is a zombie walk, and that is where the picture came from.

This is the first time that I have ever had a blog. I have always used a website and other social networking sites to display my work. However, I am always terrible when it comes to updating those types of sites so I though I would give this a try.
